Wet Weather

Been raining like mad today heavy too, about time though we've had little rain this year and the farmers were complaining but last week or so we've had lots of it well more than recently anyway. Didn't mind as I didn't have to go out in it.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year Everyone, I'm busy cross stitching like mad making a present bag for son for next Xmas at the moment its based on a stocking pattern I got in a cross stitch magazine a while back gonna make the base bag in Crazy Quilting Squares and then add the cross stitch motifs separately and then some beads and extra bits. Making the cross Stitch pieces on paper canvas so I can cut round them and sew them down where I want them.

No craft shopping due to bad weather.

Its too cold and snowy here, its keeping me in, can't craft shop. Got some great punch needle books for Xmas so sorting some out to do soon for my next lap quilt.

Butterflies

This week I have seen loads of Butterflies, even the getting rare now days small Tortoiseshell, with many Peacocks and several Painted Ladies, also comma's and Gatekeepers, we have three Budleias in the garden so that might be the reason they just love them. Its nice to see them fluttering about we got loads of Small whites too, God help my Lettuce though.

Good Day

Had a great day today with a small disappointment went to a quilt shop and got the normal handful of fabric and some fab little house buttons perfect for my embroidery got lady birds too very small ones but couldn't get a Crazy Quilt book, Gonna have to buy on line I think, Shops don't seem to stock it seems still good outing as they have a fudge shop at the craft place so got a bag of that too and a sugar mouse

Snow came to nothing

We had snow recently but nothing like the snow the south got, we had a couple of days last week where it settled but only a cm or so, it snowed in the night a few times but was gone by the morning. It was not here long enough to take a photo. But they do say the worst is over now. Good for my Coventry friend who had loads of it. I would have liked photo's as they inspire me in my work.

BAD START TO A DAY.

I had a bad start to today woke up at 5.30am feeling sick, Was sick a couple of times but felt better later. I won a blog give away, it was a lovely surprise so when I get the bits I'll make something with them and pop up the picture here.
