Butterflies

This week I have seen loads of Butterflies, even the getting rare now days small Tortoiseshell, with many Peacocks and several Painted Ladies, also comma's and Gatekeepers, we have three Budleias in the garden so that might be the reason they just love them. Its nice to see them fluttering about we got loads of Small whites too, God help my Lettuce though.

I also have a large hex quilt on the go too, it is charm quilt (all hexes different fabrics) one side and flower hexes the other. Pics of both quilts on the left.

I finally managed to use some of the hex's I won in Pallas' blog give away, I'm halway through a small hex quilt flowers both sides.

Good Day

Had a great day today with a small disappointment went to a quilt shop and got the normal handful of fabric and some fab little house buttons perfect for my embroidery got lady birds too very small ones but couldn't get a Crazy Quilt book, Gonna have to buy on line I think, Shops don't seem to stock it seems still good outing as they have a fudge shop at the craft place so got a bag of that too and a sugar mouse

Snow came to nothing

We had snow recently but nothing like the snow the south got, we had a couple of days last week where it settled but only a cm or so, it snowed in the night a few times but was gone by the morning. It was not here long enough to take a photo. But they do say the worst is over now. Good for my Coventry friend who had loads of it. I would have liked photo's as they inspire me in my work.

BAD START TO A DAY.

I had a bad start to today woke up at 5.30am feeling sick, Was sick a couple of times but felt better later. I won a blog give away, it was a lovely surprise so when I get the bits I'll make something with them and pop up the picture here.

Crafting a tree ornament (the star pictured on the top left here)

Had a Doctor appointment today for my regular Blood test for my INR level, I take Warfarin so it has to be checked every two weeks, this week all went well some weeks it won't come out so they have to take it out the back of my hand instead of my elbow. This afternoon I finished a tree ornament I started a couple of days ago. I intend to make quite a few of these for next Xmas they are flat and light so will go into Xmas card envelopes. I hope to make a fair few so my mates can have one each. Its beaded and the face is a painted paper cast, with flower jewels and sequins on it.
