Today is my first Pom Pom Angel.

My first Pompoms, finished my copy of Dusty cat today and unlike our real cat will sit on his cat mat, will blog him and mat next week.

Today is the 1st square of a small cat mat

 I’m making for my Pompom copy of our cat, I hope to make this Xmas, with my new Pompom makers.

Today is 18th needle-book.

On this one I used the tiny sequins I bought for this purpose, not sure they are right but do work as the bigger spots that a mushroom gets as they get older I think.

Today is my 17th Needle case

Its the one where I felt the tops went okay and was timid to do the stems.

Today is my 16th Needle-book.

This is the first one I’ve used the net under the top of the mushroom. I coloured it brown with my felt pens.

Today is my 15th needle-book.

Used one of my last big real shells on this embroidery. Thankfully a friend recently sent me a new batch of shells to use, small cowrie ones.

This one has net on it. Some green I found in my stash when looking for the white I know is there somewhere.

Today is the centre square of my cat mat.

I did each row of cat in a different colour. Despite looking more like fairisle its still a slip stitch pattern.

Today is first square of my first cat mat.

Its a favourite Slip stitch pattern of mine in Royal and bright pink with a bright yellow edge in crochet. All the surrounding squares will be in this pattern in different colours. The centre square will be a cat square from a book I got at Xmas 2017 will blog it next week.

Its actually a darker pink than the camera shows, I did this one out of my imagination too. The green grass and plants are too pale don’t show very well.

Today is the 10th of my Mushroom embroidered needle-cases.

This one is not embroidery but felt sewn down. It is also 3” square.

Today is 9th Mushroom needle-case.

I did a striped stalk on it this time.

Today is the eighth of my Mushroom embroidered needle-cases.

A set of purple ones, My first go at this pattern, I used some of my rainbow Voile in the lilac colour to make some of the top damp looking. Its different as the snap is on the bottom.

Today is the seventh of my embroidered Mushroom needle-cases.

I had fun with this one. I coloured the white net Orange and then added black spots in the holes. I like it and will do this again in another colour way.

Another test go

This time some white Organza (Voile) that a friend sent me, it gives a lovely damp look to the stalk.  Now I can indulge my passion on birthday list and buy some lovely rainbow Organza (Voile) I thought I'd have to fold edge to make it look okay but it doesn't fray as much as I expected so can sew it on just as is. Thank you Lynn for sending me some to test and able me to buy the rainbow stuff on birthday list.

Today is 4th side of Pincushion.

This is my favourite of the 4. I like the way the greenery came out.

Today is a test peice of a mushroom stem

A wonderful friend sent me a piece of net as I couldn’t find some I had already and I tried it over the embroidery on a mushroom stem and it gives it a slubby honeycomb look, that I couldn’t do in embroidery, despite several tries. Its easy to do too, just cut to size and couch down

I thought I have to cover edges to fit it in but it blends in easily. I can colour this white easily too, done it before for lace work.

Today is 3rd side of 1st pincushion.

This is a single mushroom and not one I’ve done before. Don’t think I got it right though, when I do it next time I’m gonna make whole top one piece as this bit in side don’t look quite right.

Today is Second side of First 2” square Pincushion.

Not really happy how my embroidered felt leaf came out but I’ll persist in them as they do make a nice item to put on the bottom of a mushroom.

today is the results of my resent clay playing

Its all uncooked yet but I’m gonna have a major cooking stint soon. I want to make the pieces for a bracelet soon. Got an alphabet cookie cutter set I bought years ago so gonna use the ‘S’ to make one and will try a ‘SuzyRed’ one too although will probably need to add something to that one as it won’t be big enough on its own. Both only need to be just big enough as gonna elastic thread them.

This is an unbaked piece and not finished yet too, might put some greenery in back ground and smooth it off more and not happy with cats tail its too big, so will trim that too. But happy with my first go.Too hot here now to work it more will wait until weather cools off.

On my Seasons Stole. I used black and two Oranges Lt and Bright for the colour of Pumpkins and leaf colours of that time of year.

Today I’m blogging 2 Cancer Badges.

 I’ve made in Bead Embroidery. They are in Peach for my Womb Cancer I had about 4 years ago and a Lt Blue one for a friend who’s Brother in Law has Prostrate Cancer. I put good thoughts into them when working them like you do for Healing Doll’s.

I did it in Greens for the way plants start sprouting in the Spring.

I chose Blue and White for Winter. Dark blue and Pale Blue with the White.

Today is a 1” bead loom bracelet

                                                         On my Wrist                       Straight from the loom.

I made base with a ring from a large plastic water bottle covered in felt and beadwork sewn on. Used half a pot of red beads and a third of black, this craft eats beads.
