Another test go

This time some white Organza (Voile) that a friend sent me, it gives a lovely damp look to the stalk.  Now I can indulge my passion on birthday list and buy some lovely rainbow Organza (Voile) I thought I'd have to fold edge to make it look okay but it doesn't fray as much as I expected so can sew it on just as is. Thank you Lynn for sending me some to test and able me to buy the rainbow stuff on birthday list.

Today is my 1st Mask faced Healing doll.

Today is 4th side of Pincushion.

This is my favourite of the 4. I like the way the greenery came out.

Today is a test peice of a mushroom stem

A wonderful friend sent me a piece of net as I couldn’t find some I had already and I tried it over the embroidery on a mushroom stem and it gives it a slubby honeycomb look, that I couldn’t do in embroidery, despite several tries. Its easy to do too, just cut to size and couch down

I thought I have to cover edges to fit it in but it blends in easily. I can colour this white easily too, done it before for lace work.

Today is 3rd side of 1st pincushion.

This is a single mushroom and not one I’ve done before. Don’t think I got it right though, when I do it next time I’m gonna make whole top one piece as this bit in side don’t look quite right.

Today is Second side of First 2” square Pincushion.

Not really happy how my embroidered felt leaf came out but I’ll persist in them as they do make a nice item to put on the bottom of a mushroom.
